When a 19-seat minibus is the right choice

  • Groups of 12 to ⁦19⁩ passengers — a club, a work team, an extended family. That is the range where a minibus is cheaper than a coach and more convenient than two vans.
  • Addresses a coach cannot reach: moshavim, villages, venue car parks, guesthouses up north and narrow city streets. A minibus gets into most places a private car gets into.
  • Airport runs with luggage. ⁦19⁩ seats leave reasonable room for bags, which a van does not once every seat is taken.
  • Short events. A dedicated booking of up to ⁦5⁩ hours costs ⁦1,138 ₪⁩ — the common price for an evening wedding or a half-day tour.

When another vehicle is better

  • Groups over ⁦19⁩ passengers. Two minibuses cost more than one coach, and they also arrive at two different times.
  • Very long trips with a full group. A coach has a separate luggage compartment and reclining seats, which make a real difference past two or three hours.
  • A trip for up to eight people, where an 8-seat van costs less and reaches the same places.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a 19-seat minibus cost per day?

A dedicated day of ⁦10⁩ hours up to ⁦200⁩ km costs ⁦1,750 ₪⁩ before VAT. A shorter event is priced on the half-day tier — up to ⁦5⁩ hours at ⁦1,138 ₪⁩. Beyond the included hours, each additional hour is ⁦110 ₪⁩.

Apart from the seat count, what is the difference between a minibus and a coach?

Size. A minibus reaches addresses a 12-metre coach cannot enter — moshavim, venue car parks and narrow streets — and costs less. A coach gives you a separate luggage compartment and reclining seats, which change a long journey. Up to ⁦19⁩ passengers, a minibus is almost always the right choice.

Does luggage fit for 19 passengers?

A cabin bag each, yes. ⁦19⁩ large suitcases is already tight, and for an airport run with a full group and heavy luggage a coach with a hold is better. You can flag oversized luggage in the calculator so it is accounted for up front.

Is there a surcharge for night or Shabbat travel?

Yes: ⁦15%⁩ for departure or return between ⁦21:00–06:00⁩, and ⁦25%⁩ on Shabbat and holidays. Both are calculated automatically from the date and time you enter and appear as separate lines in the quote.

Does the driver stay with us or drive off?

On a dedicated booking the vehicle and driver stay for the whole window you booked, including waiting between stops. On a one-way transfer the driver drops off and moves on. For an event with several stops, dedicated is almost always cheaper than several separate transfers.
